Toyota has invested in wireless car charging technology that the company may use on models sold at a Salisbury Toyota Dealer. The wireless car charging technology will allow hybrid and electric vehicles to be charged simply by being the viscinity of the charging station and thus avoiding plug-ins. This is the future of Toyota models and other hybrids and electric models. Toyota signed an agreement with WiTricity which is a company that produces wireless charging technology, and Toyota will attempt to produce a wireless automotive charger that does not need any type of connection, and will be able to recharge electric models sold at a Toyota Dealer Frederick.
Toyota models can also be serviced at a Quick Lube Service Toyota business or any other service. The charging of a vehicle wirelessly would be assisted by a special device that WiTricity has developed technology for. The same technology is used to charge consumer electronics like laptops, game controllers, TVs, phones, and others, and in the future it may be used to charge vehicles like the Prius.
The technology is called highly coupled magnetic resonance and works by generating a magnetic near field while a capture device in the item that needs to be charged receives a transfer of power from the magnetic near field that it is tuned for. The power can be transferred over distances and even through obstacles like walls and it can also be used to power more than one device at a time. It is similar to the same type of effect that happens when a opera singer breaks glass with her voice. This is because the glass absorbs a particular frequency of sold that depends on the shape of the glass, and under certain conditions the glass will absorb the same frequency that the singer is giving out to where the glass begins to vibrate and thus shatter.
