This program for Toyota is where a consumer can register at www.toyota.com/shareathon , tweet a scripted Toyota Shareathon message, purchase or lease a new Toyota on or before January 3rd, 2012 and be eligible for a new certificate for a $500 debit card.  Yes, it is that easy, not only can you get the $500 but you can also up that to a $1,000 debit card.  If you are successful of having your tweet of buying or leasing a Toyota during a Toyotathon retweeted, you are eligible of $50 per tweet up to a total of $500.  The $500 debit card plus the retweet chances of up to $500 can land you a $100o debit card.  One small catch, you have only 48 hours to have your followers retweet your tweet, so you can land that money.

The recall is for 2001-2003 year Prius models that have a problem with steering and there are no reported injuries or deaths from the defect. Models that do not have the defect include those sold at a Cox Auto Mazda dealership. About half of the cars with the potential defect were sold in the United States with another half being sold in Japan, and other Japanese vehicles can be purchased from a Wakefield Mazda dealership. There are several other Toyota models that have been recalled over the past year and a half.

The 2001-2003 Prius models are being recalled due to a potential problem where nuts that secure the pinion shaft in the gear box can become loose over time resulting in more effort required to make left turn. This obviously can be a potential safety concern. Toyota said that about 52,000 cars affected were sold in the U.S. while 48,000 of the models were sold in Japan. Toyota also said that the company would fix the affected models for free at a local Toyota dealership.

Toyota is in the process of ramping up the company’s production and will hope to return back to normal production soon. Toyota and other Japanese automakers took a production hit after a March 11 earthquake that stopped the auto industry in Japan completely. Assembly plants were shut down due to transportation hazards and damage, and a number of suppliers in Japan are still offline or operating at a lower rate than normal. Japanese operations in the United States and in other countries are expected to return back to normal sooner than operations in Japan which are more dependent on local Japanese parts suppliers. Japanese operations are expected to return back to a higher rate sooner than expected however, and operations in other countries will follow suit for Toyota.

The Highland Hybrid from Ogden Toyota Dealership, comes with a pretty decent protection package.  It consists of three years or 36,000 mile basic warranty and a five year or 60,000 mile powertrain warranty.  The hybrid components such as; the HV battery, battery control module, hybrid control module and inverter with converter are covered by an eight year or 100,000 mile warranty.  The 2011 model has yet to be tested, but the 2010 model, which can be found at Used Car Dealer Greenwood, received high scores on all crash tests.  They received five stars for driver protection and four stars for passenger protection in frontal tests.  They also earned five stars for both front and rear seat protection in side crash tests and four stars for rollover tests.  The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety gave the Highlander it’s highest ranking of “Good” in frontal offset, side impact and rear crash protection tests.2011 Toyota Highlander Hybrid back view 300x183 New Engine For 2011 Highlander Hybrid!

Some of the safety features on the Highlander Hybrid include; three-row roll-sensing side curtain airbags and drivers knee airbag, enhanced vehicle stability control, traction control, electronic brakeforce distribution, brake assist and Hill Start Assist Control.  For 2011 the base model will come with a six speaker CD player, auxiliary audio jack, power windows and locks, remote key-less entry, a tilt/telescopic steering wheel and a multi-information display which shows average fuel economy and outside temperature.  It also features a family-friendly conversation mirror which allows the driver to keep an eye on the kids in the back without having to turn around. 

There weren’t many pros and cons listed on this vehicle.  Some of the remarks that I did find weren’t that bad.  Alot of people raved about the seamless hybrid powertrain and that it was a real quit ride.  Some of the gripes that I found listed on the Highlander Hybrid that the fuel savings most likely wouldn’t justify the price and that the base stereo was disappointing.  Really nothing to bad.  Go to your local Toyota dealership and test drive one.   I am sure you will like what you see.

While the general consensus is that there is not a lot of cubby storage here, both passenger seating rows fold down for a large flat cargo space.  There is also a hidden cargo space behind the rear seat. The rear doors slide so there is a lot less chance of your kids knocking the cars that are parked next to you.  But if they happen to dent the car anyway, you can always take it to Bradenton car repair.

The second row seating can comfortably hold three children, or you can fold down the middle seat back to become an armrest.  Also, you can fold out cup storage and a cubby bin in place of the armrest.  If you would like easy access to the third row seating, then the armrest can be folded up on its side out of the way.  To adjust for more legroom, the second row seating may also be slid forward or backward.

The driver seat can be pumped up or down and gives us plenty of room to move forward or backwards for more comfortable driving.  Depending on whom you ask the bucket seats are quite comfortable.  Some drivers, however, find the seats too tight around the thighs.  Also, there is no lumbar support for the back.

The handling is tight and comfortable, although some drivers complained ofint 2012 Mazda 5 Affordable Family Hauler! the road noise and tire noise during highway driving.  Good thing there is a nice stereo system available.  It has a price tag of around $20,000, and a fuel economy rating of 21 mpg city and 28 mpg highway driving.  That is a nice affordable price for a family of 6 or 7.  It is the car that is going to put a smile on your face as big as the one on the grill!

It will also apply the value of the Juke to the purchase of a new Nissan vehicle, which is another attractive option to those who may not be happy with their Juke but want to keep it. Nissan is demonstrating its commitment to customer satisfaction with this move and other companies may follow suit.

Nissan owners have the option of cashing the $400 check or asking for a new vehicle from Nissan. If the owners cash the $400 check, the amount will be deducted from what is paid to the Juke owner for the vehicle. Nissan has sold about 13,500 Jukes in the United States so far this year, and there were about 4,000 Juke models that had the misprinted specifications, so not every Juke owner will be eligible for the cash or the discount.
